Brewster signs for Lilywhites!

We’re delighted to bring you the news that midfielder Michael Brewster is our first signing of the Summer!

Michael (28) started his career at Oldham Athletic, playing for their U-18s before signing for St Mirren. He moved back to England in 2015 when he joined Southport FC.

The Royton-based midfielder has since amassed a huge amount of experience in the NPL having represented Marine, Atherton Colls, Ashton United, Radcliffe FC and most recently Stalybridge Celtic.

On bringing Michael to Seel Park, manager David Fish told us, “With Kane Hickman and Andy Keogh leaving in the summer it was important to add energy and experience in midfield and leadership to the group. Michael provides both in abundance.

“He has loads of experience having playing at this level and higher for 10 years, he’s got proven quality and has captained many of the sides he’s played for.

“It’s clear from every conversation I’ve had with him that he is driven and wants to be a major part of what we are building. He’s a huge addition and will bring a lot to the squad over the coming years.”
