Mark Lees is back!

We’re delighted to let you know that Mark Lees is returning to Seel Park!

Midfielder Mark started his football career in the youth set-up here at Seel Park before going on to enjoy spells at Hyde United, Altrincham, Ashton United and Stalybridge Celtic. He joined the Lilywhites first team set-up in December 2019 and was quickly a fans favourite.

Mark made 12 appearances in our 2019-20 campaign that was curtailed by COVID, scoring one goal as well as being named man of the match on three occasions.

He then went on to play for Matlock Town and Wythenshawe Town before re-joining the Lilywhites.

On signing on for the current campaign, Mark told us, “I was only here for a short time during the season that was cut short by COVID, but the club made a huge impression on me. Mossley Juniors were the first team I played for as a youngster so I’ve always had a soft spot for the club and wanted to come back and play again!

“I know the club have come close to the playoffs in previous seasons and my hope is that we can go one better and get promoted. When I spoke to David, it was a no-brainer and I can’t wait to get started.”
