Uchegbulam stays at Seel Park!

With competitive football less than 24 hours away from returning to Seel Park, we are thrilled to tell you that Jes Uchegbulam has committed to staying with the Lilywhites!

Uchegbulam originally signed from Stockport Town in the summer of 2018, going on to be the top scorer for the under-21 team during their 2018/19 season.

Though he made his first team debut that season, coming off the bench away at Widnes, it was during the 2019/20 season when he made a real impact at Seel Park; making 33 appearances and scoring 6 goals in the process. A series of impressive performances during that season saw him become a real fan-favourite at Seel Park, picking up the fans’ young player of the season award.

On keeping him at Seel Park, manager David Fish said, “Jes is an exciting player with huge potential, he has bags of natural ability and is an athlete.

“He has an ambition to progress into the full-time game but is very raw. We’ve started working with him through pre-season on how to have a greater impact on games and make the most of his ability

“If Jes works with us and takes on board the advice and coaching, I’m confident he can have a great season and be an important member of the squad.”
