Buildbase Bursary Winners: Thank You!
Thanks to the efforts of our volunteers and the backing of our local community, friends and supporters all over the world we’re delighted to confirm we’ve been chosen as one of ten winners of a £10,000 bursary courtesy of Buildbase!
After finishing a creditable sixth in the national supporter vote, we were awarded one of the nine remaining prizes based on the merits of our application. The judging panel stated our application ‘demonstrated clear goals for your club and your community which is what grassroots football is all about.’
The £10,000 will be spent on building materials for new toilet facilities at Emmaus Mossley Seel Park, ensuring we’re more accessible on matchdays and at community events such as our fireworks night and the Whit Friday band contest which we’re incredibly proud to host.
On being selected, Club Director Matthew Hayton said “This is huge for us. We want to provide all visitors with the best experience possible and identified the need to improve the toilet facilities some time ago. We were blown away by the support we were shown and the way in which local people in particular backed us. We’re incredibly proud to represent Mossley and it’s fantastic seeing people come together to help us make improvements that they will in turn benefit from.
“Special thanks to Nathan Harris from our committee who worked extremely hard on our application and to Steve Tague for his support and commitment to pushing us forwards as a club.”
A huge thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the process – supporters, officials, players, other clubs and local business – we couldn’t have done it without you.
