Alex Craddock named as manager from the end of the season
Following David Fish’s decision to step down at the end of the season, we’re delighted to announce that Alex Craddock has been appointed as our first team manager from the 2025-26 season.
Alex will start in the role following the conclusion of our 2024-25 Northern Premier League campaign.
Alex joined us in the summer of 2020, arriving as David Fish’s first-team coach. Following the departure of assistant manager Lee Ashworth in December 2021, Alex was promoted to assistant manager with the Lilywhites.
On confirming the appointment of Alex for next season, Club director Nathan Harris told us, “When David made his decision to step-down at the end of the season, we wanted to move quickly to appoint his successor. Alex was naturally a front-runner for the role and providing continuity was an important factor in that – we’re delighted he has agreed to choose us as his first step into football management.
“Alex already has a strong affiliation with our supporters and our town – he understands what it means to be a Lilywhite and that played a key role in our decision. Alex has proven himself to be an excellent coach and is bought into our strategic plans for the future. As a board, we’re delighted to be working with him.
“Though the appointment doesn’t take place until next season, Alex will continue working in his role as Assistant Manager alongside David Fish as we push towards ensuring safety in this season’s NPL campaign.”
We caught up with Alex this week for his first interview, you can watch it here
