Holden is a Lilywhite!
We’re delighted to bring you the news that left-back Darren Holden has signed for the Lilywhites from Clitheroe FC.
Darren (30) joins with a reputation of being one of the best in his position in the league.
The Gisburn-based defender has an impressive footballing CV having started his career at Hartlepool where he made a total of 58 appearances before spells at Ross County and Gateshead.
Holden also went on to play for Guiseley and South Shields (where he was in the squad that won the FA Vase) before moving to Consett, making 133 appearances including another FA Vase final appearance.
Darren then went on to play for Clitheroe and has consistently been a key player for them over the last two seasons.
On capturing his man, manager David Fish told us, “We’ve been looking to bring a left back in for a few weeks. Whilst Jack Grundy has done well there it makes a real difference having a left footer for balance
“When I heard Darren was available I moved quickly. I’m delighted to be able to secure him. He brings loads of experience and lots of quality at both ends of the pitch.”
Welcome to TotalRope Solutions Seel Park, Darren!”
