Mason Fawns signs for Lilywhites!
We’re thrilled to announce the signing of exciting attacker Mason Fawns as manager David Fish continues to build his squad ahead of the forthcoming season.
Mason, 22, started his footballing career in the Blackburn Rovers Academy before joining the youth team at Oldham Athletic in 2016. He went on to make his professional debut for Oldham Athletic against Burton Albion in the EFL cup before making his league debut against Walsall in August 2017. After leaving Boundary Park, Mason has gained an impressive array of experience playing for Ashton United, Curzon Ashton, Altrincham, AFC Fylde and Ramsbottom.
He’s no stranger to Lilywhites supporters having lined up against us twice for Ramsbottom United, most recently scoring the equalising goal in last season’s thrilling FA Cup victory at Seel Park.
On securing the Mason’s signature, manager David Fish said, “Last season we didn’t create and convert as many chances as I’d like, so we’ve been looking at players who can change that. Mason is a confident player, he’s good on the ball and wants to make things happen.
“Whilst he’s still young, he has experience of this league and higher levels, which adds to our group of players.
“He’s already talked about how much he enjoyed the atmosphere in the FA Cup last season and he’s looking forward to playing in a rocking Seel Park.”
Welcome to Seel Park, Mason!
