Benji is back!

The good news continues with Ben Richardson returning to the club for the coming season.

Ben has already made 192 appearances for the Lilywhites over seven seasons, scoring 23 goals in the process. He previously departed for promotion-chasing Ramsbottom United in January 2020

A real fans’ favourite, in his previous spells he won Player of the Season in 2009 and, most recently, 2019-20 Goal of the Season for his wonder-strike against Marine at Seel Park.

On securing Ben’s return, Manager David Fish said, “Ben was a young player at Curzon as I was ending my time there and I have followed his career since. His quality as a player and affinity with the club were both obvious, which made him one of my main targets and he didn’t take much convincing to return. From what I’ve seen from the first three training sessions he is an excellent addition to the squad; his attitude and personality are infectious and he will be a huge part of developing the spirit that I believe underpins every successful team.”
